Troubleshoot Db2 Buffer Pool Performance Issues
Effective exploitation of Buffer Pools is essential to achieving optimal Db2 performance, and so there is great value in having the capability to quickly visualize, drill down, and monitor Db2 buffer pool data.
This video demonstrates the value of having great visibility and context sensitive drilldowns into the rich set of buffer pool and sync I/O metrics available in the SMF 100 Db2 statistics records for both local and group buffer pools.
Examples demonstrated in the video include Prefetch activity (by type), Getpage activity, Sync reads, and Group Buffer Pool reads due to buffer cross invalidations.
